Please Read This Important Note About DVD Compatibility

On a DVD Player: JukeboxQuilts' DVDs are recorded using the DVD+R format. As DVD recording on computers has become more common, most of the newer DVD players are now supporting this format. However, not all players and drives can read +R recorded discs. If you insert our DVD into your DVD player and you get a disk error, poor audio, or the video is playing faster than normal, then your player may not support the DVD+R format. Please check the owner’s manual for supported formats. We can also provide DVDs recorded using the DVD-R format (dash R format). If your player does support the given format, please call us and we will swap your disks at no charge. If your player does not support either of these formats, check the troubleshooting tips in your manual or call the manufacturer for a playability enhancement or upgrade.

On a Computer: You need to have an actual DVD drive installed in your computer to be able to play DVDs, this may seem painfully obvious, but, in fact, it may not be easy to tell what kind of drive you have in your system. If you have a DVD drive, it should be labeled with the standard DVD logo. If you insert one of our DVDs into your computer and you see a message about unsupported disc, or un-initialized disc, or if nothing happens at all, check to make sure you have a DVD drive rather than a CD drive in your system. DVD drives can play CDs, but CD drives cannot play DVDs.

On some computers, inserting a DVD disc in a DVD drive will make it start playing automatically. On others, you will have to manually start the DVD playback. On most windows systems, DVD playback software comes pre-installed. If so, you should be able to locate it in your START menu. Launch the DVD player and click the Play button on the screen to start playback. If you don’t see the DVD playback software, you may need to install it before you can watch a DVD.
